The last few days of summer...
Let's dive right in!!
The sheepshead bite has been good in the Inlet.
Greg Allen recently weighed a 5.5 pounder and Matt Barila had a 8.75 pounder over the weekend.
Not hearing much about keeper tog lately. Plenty of shorts.
We have live sand fleas and live green crabs most every day.
Old Inlet's rod repair technician Loren Evans had two keeper flounder drifting the Inlet on Monday.
Snapper blues have been hitting on the daytime incoming tide. Usually the first and last hour of the tide. Look for the feeding birds.
The striper bite has been at night and in the early morning hours. It can best be described as a slow pick. Mostly short fish.
Eels and sand fleas at night switching to soft plastics after day light.
Small stuff in the surf. Spot, kings and blues.
The fresh mullet supply has been sporadic at best.
Had some folks asking about red drum on the beach. Target the days leading up to and immediately after the full moon on the 26th.
Just over two weeks til tournament time!
